You can get the Motorola SLVR L6 for under $50!
It just arrived over at our sponsor’s site: www.AmericaCell.com
Nokia fans feast your eyes on this! Motorola has unleashed it’s first candy bar style phone that is razor thin and weighs just 9 grams - it’s even lighter than the Motorola RAZR. SLVR is pronounced SLIVER (I guess thin is in) and not silver as some of us first thought. Earlier in the year SLVR L6 and L7 was actually code named ‘Royal Blade’ and for good reason. It’s got a sharp razor like look to it.
Side by side comparison:
RAZR- 3.9 by 2.2 by 0.6 inches; 3.3 ounces
SLVR- 4.5 by 1.9 by 0.5 inches; 2.9 ounces
A quick side by side comparison shows that the SLVR (Motorola Sliver) is not too much longer than a closed RAZR and just a tad wider. It would be pretty easy to forget about this phone in your pocket. (The interface resembles the Motorola ROKR but a lot sleeker.) SLVR was designed especially for those of us (Nokia fans)who prefer a razor thin phone but have an aversion to the clam shell form. One of the features that makes the Motorola L6 stand apart from the Razr phones from T-Mobile and Cingular is that it has a built-in MP3 player to play your favorite songs plus a removable TransFlash memory card so you can store your favorite music files on it.
Oddly though, SLVR L7 does lack a headphone jack which seems strange because it has an MP3 player, though you could use the USB port for headphones. Some industry experts are speculating that SLVR will be released with a Motorola Bluetooth headset. When it comes to Talk Time and Standby Time, the SLVR has the RAZR beat in both: 6.33 to 3.00 and 420 to 200, respectively. This is a quad band GSM phone that includes Bluetooth Class 2, Push-to-Talk (PTT), VGA camera, SCREEN3 and a MP3 player.
There has been a lot of talk over the past year, in cell phone circles, about Motorola developing another razor thin phone (in candy bar form) that will attract traditional Nokia phone buyers and turn them into Motorola cell phone users. Many are assuming that the Sliver will initially be offered by Cingular. Stay tuned, Motorola Sliver will be available soon with special online pricing.

I heard the SLVR is just as thin as the Motorola Razr - is that true?
Also will it get damaged if it falls on the floor.
I dont like flip phones - but I do like that they dont get scratched up so easily!

Each phone has it’s pros and cons. When it comes down to final choice it’s a
matter of personal choice. Many people prefer the Razr phones because they are ‘flip’style
so therefore the key pad is protected. The SLVR phone comes in a ‘candy-bar’
form with the keys exposed, some people prefer this style phone.
www.amercancell.com has a special online offer for the
